Course Content

Day -1
Session 1: Advanced Formulas and Functions
  • Review of Basic Formulas and Introduction to Advanced Formulas
  • IF, AND, OR functions for decision-making in cells
  • LOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH for searching and referencing data
  • CONCATENATE, LEFT, RIGHT, MID for manipulating text
  • TODAY, NOW, DATE, TIME, and related functions
Session 2: Data Analysis Tools
  • Hands-on exercises and practice sessions
  • Recap of Advanced Formulas and Functions
  • PivotTables: Creating, customizing, and analyzing data with PivotTables
  • Pivot Charts: Creating dynamic charts from PivotTable data
  • Practical exercises to reinforce learning
Day -2
Session 3: Data Visualization and Conditional Formatting
  • Recap of Data Analysis Tools
  • Conditional Formatting: Applying formatting based on cell values or conditions
  • Sparkline’s: Creating mini-charts within cells for visual representation of data trends
  • Customizing Charts: Enhancing visual appeal and clarity of charts
Session 4: Macros and Automation
  • Introduction to Macros: Understanding what macros are and how they automate tasks
  • Recording Macros: Recording steps to automate repetitive tasks
  • Practical exercises to record, edit, and run macros for automation

Outcomes

At the end of the course the learner will deal with:-
  • Proficient use of advanced Excel formulas, including IF, AND, OR, LOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX, and MATCH functions.
  • Mastery in data analysis tools such as PivotTables, Pivot Charts, Data Validation, Data Consolidation, and What-If Analysis.
  • Expertise in data visualization and presentation, utilizing conditional formatting, Sparklines, customized charts, and dashboard elements.
  • Competence in macro automation, covering the introduction, recording, editing, and understanding macro security for improved workflow efficiency.
  • Overall enhancement of Excel productivity, providing participants with the skills to confidently handle complex data scenarios.
