Overview

The IATF Core Tools are a set of five key quality tools developed by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) for effective quality management in the automotive industry.

This course gives understanding about these core tools, application and benefits. The course is in line with current industry requirements as per Automotive AIAG guidelines. The topics in this program will be explained with PPTs, activities, animations.

Course Content

  • Linkage of core tools to the ISO / IATF standard
  • Overview of Core tools
  • APQP methodology – 5 phases & Control plan
  • PPAP documents and its requirements
  • Process failure mode effects analysis – AIAG – VDA versions
  • Measurement system analysis methods – both variable & attribute data
  • Statistical process control – control charts, capability study.

Outcomes

By the end of the course, the learner will be able to
  • Understand the automotive core tools, their applications, methodologies, and benefits
  • Apply the APQP methodology for effective new product development
  • Follow PPAP guidelines to initiate and validate mass production
  • Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques for monitoring and controlling manufacturing processes
  • Perform Gage R&R studies to assess the capability of measurement systems

  • Attendance – 90% Min
  • Assignment completion – 100%
  • Post-test assessment score – 70% Min
  • Duration: 40 Hours – 8hrs /day – 5 days
  • Mode: Face-to-Face
  • The programs will be certified by TVSTS.
