Why NAPS

The National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) is an initiative launched by the Government of India under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) in accordance with the Apprenticeship Act of 1961.

Eligibility

  • Age Criteria: 14 to 35 years
  • Minimum Qualification: 8th pass or higher
  • Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to train in a factory environment

Contract Terms

  • The contract is established between the candidate and the industry.
  • On-the-job training begins once the contract is successfully generated through the NAPS Portal.
  • Trainees will receive stipends, that will be directly deposited into their bank accounts via the NAPS Portal.
  • Upon successful completion of the contract, trainees will be evaluated and certified by the National Skill Development Council (NSDC) and the respective Sector Skill Development Council (SSC).

  • Statutory compliances like ESIC, PT, and PF are not applicable
  • Subsidiary support received from the Government of India up to a maximum of ₹1,500 per apprentice per month
  • Foster career development while enhancing the apprentice experience
