Additive Manufacturing

Be ready for the future with the latest technologies

Transform industrial production

Define Additive Manufacturing

Understand the applications of Additive Manufacturing

Classify the different technologies in Additive Manufacturing

Select the right 3D printing process

Additive manufacturing (AM) is a rapidly growing manufacturing technology that allows rapid prototyping and creation of more complex and functional parts including end-use parts and traditional manufacturing tooling. AM has a variety of build methods, such as stereolithography, material jetting and material extrusion.

In this course, the participants will gain basic knowledge on AM, including different AM methods and processes, uses of AM, and further potential. The topics in this program will be explained with PPTs, relevant videos, animations and applications examples.  Highly interactive sessions planned through Instructor led online training.

Eligibility

  • Employee engaged in developing new product.

  • Employees engaged in designing a product, R&D teams & Engineering team.

  • Employees responsible for developing a process , manufacturing and quality

  • Min of 2 years’ experience

Production Part Approval Process - Awareness

  • Understand and be able to list PPAP requirements.

  • Understand the purpose of PPAP & documentation requirements.

  • Understand the requirements of an initial production run

The course on PPAP gives an understanding on how to get customer approval for the newly developed products. It gives an awareness on the need & requirements of the documentation as per AIAG guideline. The topics in this program will be explained with PPTs, online activities, animations.  Highly interactive sessions planned through Instructor led online training

Eligibility

  • Employee engaged in developing new product.

  • Employees engaged in designing a product, R&D teams & Engineering team.

  • Employees responsible for developing a process , manufacturing, quality, materials

Awareness On Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)

  • Identify how the APQP process fits with an organization and its processes.

  • Correlate the Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) model with the APQP cycle.

  • Understand how to develop the product as per APQP guidelines

  • Identify and prioritize the APQP gaps within an organization.

  • Provide an understanding of the type of tools needed to introduce for quality products and in the fastest possible time

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is a structured methodology used to develop new products especially in the automotive industry. The purpose of this methodology is to make a product quality plan which will support development of a product or service that will satisfy the customer. APQP facilitates communication with everyone involved in the product development process to assure that all steps are completed in an appropriate manner on time. This would result in providing a quality product to the customer on time at the lowest cost.  In this course the APQP methodology is explained step by step with PPTs, videos and industry examples. Highly interactive sessions planned through Instructor led online training

Eligibility

  • Employees engaged in developing new product/process.

  • Employees responsible manufacturing  & quality

  • Min of 2 years’ experience.

Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA)

  • Understand the need & requirements of FMEA as per AIAG  - VDA guidelines

  • Be able to identifying the recommended actions (Action Priorities) to improve the manufacturing & assembly processes through structured application of Process FMEA.

  • Understand the changes in the latest FMEA edition (AIAG – VDA).

  • Learn how to Calculate Risk Priority Number (RPN) and how to Prioritize RPNs

This course gives an understanding on the process requirements and failure modes in order to achieve a defect free product in a proactive manner. A clear understanding on the effect of failure,  its causes and detection mechanism as per AIAG VDA guideline would help to build a robust process. The topics in this program will be explained with PPTs, online activities, videos and animations.  Highly interactive sessions planned through Instructor led online training
